2018 Truck Driving Championship
Ready to put your driving skills to the test and compete against the best drivers in the state?
As in previous years, Lyman-Richey Corporation is looking for six drivers to represent us at the 2018 Nebraska Truck Driving Championships competition in Grand Island on June 7-9.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of continued service with Lyman-Richey Corporation
- No accident or incidents in the last 2 years
- No tickets or citations for the last 2 years
- No DOT violations in the last 2 years
- Clean MVR
- In good standing with the company and your manager
The competitions consists of five parts: written test, pre-trip inspection, personal interview, driving course, and a driver trip sheet. Drivers placing first, second, and third are awarded trophies at a banquet held Saturday night after the competition is completed. Trophies are also given in other classes for best scores, pre-trip, written test, and an overall grand champion.
Companies with three or more drivers are also eligible to compete for the team award.
Winners in the nine classes advance to the American Trucking Association's National Truck Driving Championships, while the mixer truck first place winner advances to the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association's National Mixer Driver Championship.
