Guidelines for Ordering

At Gerhold Concrete Company, we realize that providing quality products and exceptional service is what our customers expect from us. In order to provide you with quality service, we need your help. Our schedule fills up quickly, so if at all possible, please place orders 1- 3 days early to ensure you can get deliveries when you want them. Please remember that when you have unscheduled callbacks it delays everyone's order not just yours. Visit our concrete calculator to help figure out the cubic yards of concrete you will need for your order. Remember that you will need to order about 10% extra for waste and any variances in your grade thickness. Our dispatchers will need to know:

  1. Your name
  2. If it is a COD order or who it will be billed to.
  3. Phone number we can reach you at, in case of delays or weather changes.
  4. Accurate address or 911 number and detailed driving directions to the job.
  5. What your project is and how far apart you want your trucks spaced if your order requires more than one load.
  6. The mix and slump of the concrete. Our dispatchers can help you with what mix you may need for the project. The slump is how wet the concrete is and will vary depending on your project needs.
  7. The cubic yards needed. Running short and having a callback can be more costly with minimum load charges than just ordering a little extra to begin with.
  8. Any extra products you need for the pour. Most items are not able to be delivered with the ready mixed truck and will need to be delivered at a separate time.
  9. The date and time you would like your delivery.
  10. State whether the order is a "Firm Order" or a "Will Call."

A firm order means that the order will be batched to be at the jobsite at the specified time, unless you call and cancel the order at least one hour before the scheduled delivery time. Once the order is canceled, rescheduling will be based off delivery schedule availability due to previously scheduled and confirmed orders.

A will-call means that the concrete will not be batched or delivered until you call and release the order. If you do not call to release the order by the scheduled time, trucks will be sent on other orders and your order will have to wait for the next available openings.
