Whitetopping: Another Lyman-Richey First

The parking lots of the new Lyman-Richey corporate offices have had a face lift over the last few months as the existing asphalt has been torn out and replaced with concrete. But we took a different and new approach to the northeast lot.

In a first for Lyman-Richey, instead of tearing it out, we left the asphalt and Mackie Construction placed a 6-inch thick overlay of L40-6 1/2 PAE (IPF) concrete using Ash Grove's Duracem F (IP blended) cement with a high range water reducer to achieve the desired workability, said Mark Deetz, vice president of sales.
